Apple iOS updates address vulnerabilities (Apple)

Apple has just rolled out crucial security updates for iPhones, iPads, and Macs to address two serious vulnerabilities actively being exploited.

The updates, iOS and iPadOS 17.1.2, and macOS 14.1.2, were released to fix vulnerabilities found by Google’s Threat Analysis Group. The vulnerabilities, found in WebKit - the engine behind Safari and various apps, allow hackers to remotely implant harmful code, like spyware, onto devices via the internet.

Apple confirmed the fix addressed issues in versions preceding iOS 16.7.1, emphasizing the urgency for users to update. Additionally, Apple introduced Safari 17.1.2 for older macOS Monterey and macOS Ventura systems.
