Nissan Owners, Check Your Account For "Unusual Or Scam-Like Activities"
Nissan Australia

Nissan has announced, very publicly, that its Australian and New Zealand systems have been subject to a cyber incident.

Via a message overlaid on the homepage of its website, the car maker stated that it "is working with its global incident response team and relevant stakeholders to investigate the extent of the incident and whether any personal information has been accessed."

Nissan has also notified the Australian Cyber Security Centre and the New Zealand National Cyber Security Centre and, while the company doesn't say exactly what was affected in the incident, it is encouraging its customers to look out for any unusual or scam-like activities across their Nissan accounts. What the company does say is that the incident doesn't affect the Nissan Dealer Network.

The incident continues to be investigated and Nissan is working to restore its systems as soon as possible. Updates will be provided at both nissan.com.au and nissan.co.nz
