This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Triangle MicroWorks SCADA Data Gateway. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists with the handling of data set descriptors. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data which can result in a read past the end of an allocated structure. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute code in the context of SYSTEM.
