Recommended actions to resolve this vulnerability, in priority order.

  1. Upgrade

Upgrade vsDesk to a version that resolves this vulnerability.

    Fixed in 14.0402
  2. Compensating control

If upgrading is not immediately possible, restrict network access so that vsDesk systems cannot reach arbitrary outbound LDAP servers (allow-list only the intended LDAP server addresses/ports).

  3. Operational

If an unauthorized administrative account may have been provisioned, review vsDesk administrative users and remove/disable any unexpected accounts after applying the patch/upgrade.
