CVE-2026-10148: Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia <= 2.4.9 - Authenticated (Contributor+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'load_manually' Parameter

Published Sep 12, 2026
·
Updated

The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via multiple Elementor widgets in versions up to and including 2.4.9. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the 'loadmanually' parameter in the render() methods of classes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above who can use Elementor, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability was partially patched in version 2.4.8.

Frequently Asked Questions

1

Who can exploit this issue?

An attacker needs an authenticated WordPress account with Contributor-level access or higher, and must be able to use Elementor. Unauthenticated visitors cannot directly inject the payload based on the available information.

2

When does the injected script run?

The malicious script is stored in an affected Elementor widget configuration and executes when a user accesses the injected page. This can affect other users who view that page.

3

Is version 2.4.8 fully protected?

No. The issue was only partially patched in 2.4.8, and versions through 2.4.9 are identified as affected.

4

What can be done before a complete fix is available?

Restrict Elementor access for Contributor-level and other untrusted accounts, since Elementor access is required for exploitation. Review pages editable by such users for injected content in affected widget configurations.
