Frequently Asked Questions
Is ordinary network reachability alone sufficient to exploit this issue?
No. The attacker must be a remote BGP peer on an affected BGP session and send a specific BGP FlowSpec update. The peer does not need authentication.
Is use of a BGP FlowSpec import policy required for exposure?
Yes. The affected BGP session must use a BGP FlowSpec import policy.
