Frequently Asked Questions

1

What configuration is required for exposure?

The issue requires LLGR to be used and an LLGR-stale route update to be readvertised to a configured BGP peer group that does not support LLGR. Systems without that configuration path are not described as affected.

2

Does exploitation require credentials or user interaction?

No. The supplied vector indicates network-based exploitation with low attack complexity, no privileges required, and no user interaction.

3

What is the expected impact of a successful attack?

A remote BGP peer can crash the routing protocol daemon (rpd), causing an availability impact. The provided vector indicates no confidentiality or integrity impact.
