Frequently Asked Questions
Who is exposed to this issue?
Devices running Juniper Networks Junos OS or Junos OS Evolved are exposed when LDP is enabled and an operational LDP session can receive messages from an adjacent attacker.
What access does an attacker need?
The attacker does not need authentication or user interaction, but must be adjacent to the target and able to send LDP messages over an operational LDP session.
What is the impact of successful exploitation?
Successful exploitation can crash the routing protocol daemon (rpd), causing a denial of service. The provided severity vector indicates no confidentiality or integrity impact.
