Frequently Asked Questions
Does an attacker need credentials to exploit this issue?
No. The vulnerability is described as exploitable by an unauthenticated attacker, but the attacker must have access to the chassis-internal network.
What is the expected security impact?
The stated impact is denial of service through a crash of the na-grpcd process. The supplied CVSS vector indicates no confidentiality or integrity impact and a high availability impact.
What environments are most exposed?
Exposure is limited to devices where an attacker can reach the chassis-internal network. The issue is associated with use of the InitialSync service.
