CVE-2026-102051: Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved: An attacker causes l2cpd memory exhaustion when LLDP fast receive processing is enabled
An Improper Release of Memory Before Removing Last Reference vulnerability in the l2cpd process of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved platforms allows an adjacent unauthenticated attacker to cause l2cpd memory exhaustion and Layer 2 control-plane disruption via LLDP traffic when fast receive processing is enabled.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue?
An adjacent, unauthenticated attacker can exploit it. The attacker must be able to send LLDP traffic to the affected device.
Are all affected Junos deployments exposed?
No. The issue is triggered when LLDP fast receive processing is enabled; the provided information does not indicate that devices without this feature enabled are affected.
What is the operational impact of successful exploitation?
Successful exploitation can exhaust memory in the l2cpd process and disrupt the Layer 2 control plane. The provided vector indicates no confidentiality or integrity impact, but a high availability impact.
