CVE-2026-102106: Kiteworks Email Protection Gateway improper authentication

Published Sep 30, 2026
·
Updated

Improper authentication in a Kiteworks Email Protection Gateway administrative service. An administrative service in Kiteworks Email Protection Gateway did not consistently enforce administrator authentication, so the required password check could be bypassed. An attacker who referenced a valid administrator account could potentially create, modify, or delete internal users and managed domains and change their security-feature configuration without authenticating; deleting a managed domain also removes its user accounts and could lock administrators out of the gateway.

Frequently Asked Questions

1

Does exploitation require valid credentials or user interaction?

No credentials or user interaction are required. The attacker must reference a valid administrator account, but the affected administrative service may allow the required password check to be bypassed.

2

Is the issue remotely exploitable?

The CVSS vector identifies network attack access (AV:N), indicating the vulnerable administrative service can be targeted over the network.

3

What operational impact could exploitation have?

An attacker could create, modify, or delete internal users and managed domains, and change security-feature configuration. Deleting a managed domain also removes its user accounts and may lock administrators out of the gateway.
