CVE-2026-103307: Walletdoc Payment Gateway for WooCommerce < 1.8.5 - Unauthenticated SQLi and Order Payment Forgery via Webhook

Published Oct 14, 2026
·
Updated

The Walletdoc Payment Gateway for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 1.8.5 does not properly sanitize and escape user input before using it in a SQL statement, and verifies its payment webhook with a signing secret that is empty by default, allowing unauthenticated attackers to perform SQL injection attacks and to mark arbitrary orders as paid.

Frequently Asked Questions

1

Which installations are exposed by default?

Installations using versions before 1.8.5 are exposed. The webhook signing secret is empty by default, so deployments that have not set a signing secret are susceptible to unauthenticated payment-status forgery.

2

What does an attacker need to exploit this issue?

No authentication is required. An attacker can supply crafted input to the vulnerable SQL query and can exploit webhook verification when the signing secret is empty.

3

What could an attacker do through the payment webhook?

An attacker can mark arbitrary WooCommerce orders as paid. This could cause orders to be treated as successfully paid without a legitimate payment.

4

What should be prioritized if an immediate upgrade is not possible?

Set a non-empty webhook signing secret to prevent exploitation of the default empty-secret condition. This does not address the SQL injection issue, so upgrading to version 1.8.5 or later remains necessary.
