Frequently Asked Questions

1

Which deployments are exposed to this issue?

P4 Search deployments prior to 2026.4.2 are exposed when the service authentication token is blank. An attacker must have network access to the affected P4 Search service.

2

What level of access can an attacker obtain?

An unauthenticated attacker can obtain the highest application privilege. This may allow compromise of P4 Search and the connected P4 Server.

3

What should be checked while remediation is pending?

Check whether the P4 Search service authentication token is blank and whether the service is reachable by untrusted network clients. Restricting network access can reduce exposure while the affected configuration remains in place.
