CVE-2026-104764: Post Export Import with Media <= 1.17.1 - Authenticated (Administrator+) PHP Object Injection via 'page_data[meta]' Parameter
The Post Export Import with Media plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 1.17.1 via deserialization of untrusted input . This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to inject a PHP Object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software, which means this vulnerability has no impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed on the site. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it may allow the attacker to perform actions like delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code depending on the POP chain present.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue?
An attacker must already be authenticated to WordPress with administrator-level privileges or higher. Unauthenticated users and lower-privileged accounts are not identified as capable of exploiting it.
Is the vulnerable plugin alone enough for this to cause impact?
No. The plugin has no known POP chain, so object injection has no impact unless another installed plugin or theme provides a usable POP chain.
What could happen if a usable POP chain exists elsewhere on the site?
Depending on the available POP chain, an administrator-level attacker may be able to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.
Which versions are affected?
All Post Export Import with Media versions through 1.17.1, including 1.17.1, are affected.
