CVE-2026-104769: Debloat <= 1.3.0 - Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Read via 's' Search Parameter via @import url() in Reflected Search-Feed <link>
The Debloat – Remove Unused CSS, Optimize JS plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.0 via the 's' parameter parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. Exploitation requires that the site administrator has enabled the Optimize CSS feature (with the default Inline Google Fonts option active), but once that condition is met the attack is trivially triggered by an unauthenticated visitor with a single crafted GET request to the public search URL.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does an attacker need a WordPress account to exploit this issue?
No. When the affected configuration is enabled, an unauthenticated visitor can trigger the issue with a single crafted GET request to the public search URL.
Which sites are exposed by configuration?
Exposure requires the Optimize CSS feature to be enabled and the Inline Google Fonts option to remain active. Inline Google Fonts is active by default, but Optimize CSS must also be enabled for the vulnerable condition.
What can be done if updating is not immediately possible?
Disable the Optimize CSS feature to remove a required condition for exploitation. Review sites running version 1.3.0 or earlier and confirm whether Optimize CSS and Inline Google Fonts are enabled.
