Which installations are affected?
Ghost versions from 5.81.0 up to, but not including, 6.60.0 are affected. Version 6.60.0 fixes the issue.
What access does an attacker need?
An attacker needs an authenticated Ghost staff account assigned the Author role. No user interaction is required.
What can an affected Author account do?
An Author can delete posts and pages created by other users, causing an availability impact to that content.
What should teams do if they cannot upgrade immediately?
Restrict or remove Author-role access from accounts that are not trusted to manage all posts and pages. Review Author accounts and their activity for unauthorized deletions.
