CVE-2026-107631: Record of Consent Extension for Complianz <= 2.5 - Unauthenticated Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'uid' Parameter
The Record of Consent Extension for Complianz plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'uid' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is possible because the enforcing nonce is emitted via wplocalizescript on wpenqueuescripts and is therefore readable by any unauthenticated frontend visitor, and no capability or role check gates the write path.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue?
Any unauthenticated remote visitor can exploit it. The write path has no capability or role check, and the required nonce is exposed to unauthenticated frontend visitors.
Are default public-facing deployments affected?
Sites running a vulnerable version can be exposed through the frontend because the nonce is emitted when frontend scripts are enqueued. An attacker does not need a WordPress account or administrative access.
What is the impact after a successful exploit?
An attacker can store arbitrary web script through the uid parameter. That script executes when a user visits a page containing the injected content, which can affect users who access that page.
Which versions are affected?
All versions up to and including 2.5 are affected.
