CVE-2026-107907: MAS Videos <= 1.3.4 - Subscriber+ Arbitrary Post Deletion via delete_video/delete_playlist

Published Oct 24, 2026
·
Updated

The MAS Videos WordPress plugin through 1.3.4 does not perform any capability or ownership check when handling its front-end video and playlist deletion requests, and the nonce it verifies is tied only to a static action rather than to the targeted object, allowing any authenticated user with a minimal role to permanently delete arbitrary posts, pages, attachments and other content belonging to other users.

Frequently Asked Questions

1

Who can exploit this issue?

Any authenticated WordPress user with a minimal role can exploit it. The affected deletion requests do not verify that the user has the required capability or owns the targeted content.

2

What content can an attacker delete?

An attacker can permanently delete arbitrary posts, pages, attachments, and other content, including content created by other users.

3

Does exploitation require access to a targeted user's account?

No. The flaw allows an authenticated low-privilege user to target content belonging to other users because ownership is not checked.

4

Why does the nonce not prevent the deletion?

The nonce is associated only with a static action, not with the specific video, playlist, or other object being deleted. It therefore does not bind a deletion request to the intended target object.
