CVE-2026-108089: Apache Cocoon: Unauthenticated access to diagnostic interfaces
UNSUPPORTED WHEN ASSIGNED Exposure of sensitive system information to an unauthorized control sphere vulnerability in Apache Cocoon. An unauthenticated user could gain access to diagnostic interfaces, including triggering of cache, exposure of (verbose) debug logging and profile information.
This issue affects Apache Cocoon: all versions.
As this project is retired, we do not plan to release a version that fixes this issue. Users are recommended to find an alternative or restrict access to the instance to trusted users.
NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue?
An unauthenticated user can access the affected diagnostic interfaces. Exposure is therefore relevant wherever an Apache Cocoon instance is reachable by untrusted users.
What information or actions may be exposed?
The diagnostic interfaces can allow cache triggering and may expose verbose debug logging and profile information.
Is a vendor patch available?
No fix is planned because Apache Cocoon is retired and unsupported. The issue affects all versions.
What should be done if the instance cannot be replaced immediately?
Restrict access to the Apache Cocoon instance so that only trusted users can reach it. The stated long-term recommendation is to move to an alternative product.
