CVE-2026-109232: Salon Booking System <= 10.31.9 - Unauthenticated Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Custom Checkout Field (Html/File Type) via Public Booking AJAX

Published Oct 16, 2026
·
Updated

The Salon Booking System – Appointment Booking for Salons, Barbershops & Spas plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'sln[<checkout-field-key>]' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 10.31.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Exploitation requires that the site administrator has configured at least one custom checkout field of type Html or File, which is a standard documented plugin feature.

Frequently Asked Questions

1

Which sites are exposed to exploitation?

Sites running an affected version are exposed only if an administrator has configured at least one custom checkout field with the Html or File type. These field types are documented plugin features, so they may be present in otherwise standard deployments.

2

What does an attacker need to exploit this issue?

An attacker does not need authentication, user interaction, or special privileges. They can submit a crafted sln[<checkout-field-key>] parameter through the public booking AJAX functionality, provided a qualifying custom checkout field exists.

3

What is the impact after successful exploitation?

Injected script is stored and executes when a user accesses a page containing the injected content. The disclosed impact includes loss of confidentiality and integrity, while availability impact is not indicated.

4

How can administrators assess whether their configuration is affected?

Review the plugin version and inspect configured custom checkout fields. Versions through 10.31.9 are affected when at least one custom checkout field is set to Html or File.
