CVE-2026-110664: Premium Packages <= 7.2.8 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Order Notes
The Premium Packages – Sell Digital Products Securely plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'note' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 7.2.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The exploit bypasses tag-based filtering because the payload is stored as a hex-escaped sequence (e.g., \x3cimg onerror=...\x3e) that sanitizetextareafield does not strip, and is only decoded back into a live HTML tag by stripcslashes() during admin rendering — after all sanitization has occurred.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue and when does the payload execute?
An authenticated user with at least Subscriber-level access can submit a malicious order note. The stored script executes when a user accesses the page where the injected note is rendered, including during administrative rendering of order notes.
Does ordinary tag filtering prevent exploitation?
No. The issue can be exploited with a hex-escaped payload such as \x3cimg onerror=...\x3e, which is not removed by sanitize_textarea_field and is later decoded into HTML by stripcslashes() during rendering.
Which versions are affected?
All versions of the plugin up to and including 7.2.8 are affected.
