CVE-2026-111106: Mail Mint <= 1.31.4 - Authenticated (Custom+) SQL Injection via 'filters' Parameter
The Mail Mint plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'filters' parameter of the /wp-json/mrm/v1/segments/contacts REST endpoint in versions up to, and including, 1.31.4 This is due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied filter 'value' before it is appended to a SQL query in SegmentFilterService::getmetajoinquery() at line 797, where the value is string-interpolated into the WHERE fragment in a numeric (unquoted) context and the surrounding $wpdb->prepare() calls do not cover the injected value. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with the custom 'mintreadcontacts' capability (granted to Administrators by default, and configurable to lower roles via the plugin's role manager), to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which users can exploit this issue?
An attacker must be authenticated and hold the custom mint_read_contacts capability. Administrators receive this capability by default, but the plugin role manager can assign it to lower-privileged roles.
Is a default installation exposed to lower-privileged users?
By default, the affected capability is granted to Administrators. Lower-privileged users are exposed only if the capability has been assigned to their role through the plugin's role manager.
What access does exploitation provide?
The flaw allows an authorized attacker to inject SQL through the filters parameter of the segments/contacts REST endpoint. The injected queries can be used to extract sensitive information from the WordPress database.
How can I identify potentially affected systems?
Check whether Mail Mint version 1.31.4 or an earlier version is installed. Also review role-manager assignments for the mint_read_contacts capability, especially any assignments to non-administrator roles.
