CVE-2026-111178: WP Booking System <= 2.1.0.1 - Authenticated (Administrator+) SQL Injection via 'orderby' Parameter
The WP Booking System – Booking Calendar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the 'data[orderby]' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.0.1 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. Exploitation requires the targeted calendar to have more than 200 bookings, as the orderby value is only forwarded to the database layer when the AJAX handler takes the useajax branch; an Administrator can satisfy this condition by creating bookings directly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue in practice?
An attacker must already be authenticated with administrator-level access or higher. The issue is therefore primarily relevant where administrator accounts are compromised, improperly delegated, or available to untrusted users.
What conditions are required for exploitation?
The targeted calendar must have more than 200 bookings, because the vulnerable orderby value reaches the database only through the AJAX handler's use_ajax branch. An administrator can create bookings directly to meet this condition.
What could an attacker obtain through exploitation?
The attacker can append SQL to existing queries and use it to extract sensitive information from the WordPress database. The provided information does not indicate an impact on data integrity or availability.
Which versions are affected?
All WP Booking System – Booking Calendar versions up to and including 2.1.0.1 are affected. The provided data does not identify a fixed version.
