CVE-2026-111702: ChatOllama through commit 96c3ce5 IDOR Exposes Private Knowledge Bases
ChatOllama through commit 96c3ce5 contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability that allows remote attackers to access other users' private knowledge bases by supplying sequential ids. Attackers can enumerate ids via GET /api/knowledgebases/{id} or the knowledgebaseId parameter of POST /api/models/chat to read metadata and retrieved document content.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this vulnerability?
A remote attacker can exploit it without authentication, user interaction, or special privileges. The attacker needs to supply sequential knowledge-base IDs to the affected API endpoints.
Which interfaces expose private knowledge-base data?
GET /api/knowledgebases/{id} can expose knowledge-base metadata. POST /api/models/chat can use the knowledgebaseId parameter to retrieve document content associated with another user's private knowledge base.
How can defenders determine whether they are exposed?
Review whether the deployment includes ChatOllama through commit 96c3ce5 and whether the listed API routes are reachable. Look for requests iterating sequential IDs against /api/knowledgebases/{id} or varying the knowledgebaseId value in POST requests to /api/models/chat.
