CVE-2026-115740: SSRF
Server side request forgery vulnerability exists in the DLP on-prem extensions version 11.13.1 and earlier allows the file Prefix parameter in the OpenEventEvidenceFile.do endpoint accepts arbitrary UNC paths without validation. The server-side code attempts to open the specified file path, causing Windows to resolve the hostname and initiate SMB authentication to the attacker-controlled host.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does an attacker need to exploit this issue?
An attacker needs access sufficient to submit the Prefix parameter to the OpenEventEvidenceFile.do endpoint. They can provide an arbitrary UNC path pointing to an attacker-controlled host.
Who is exposed to the credential-authentication risk?
DLP on-prem extensions installations running version 11.13.1 or earlier are affected. The vulnerable server initiates SMB authentication when Windows resolves the hostname in the supplied UNC path.
What can be done if patching is not immediately possible?
Restrict access to the OpenEventEvidenceFile.do endpoint to trusted users, since exploitation requires supplying the Prefix parameter. Limiting the server's ability to establish SMB connections to untrusted hosts can also reduce exposure to attacker-controlled UNC destinations.
