CVE-2026-14444: WP Fusion (Pro) <= 3.47.13 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Privilege Escalation via ThriveCart Auto Login 'role' Parameter

Published Sep 7, 2026
·
Updated

The WP Fusion (Pro) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.47.13. This is due to insufficient authorization checks on the role parameter in the ThriveCart Auto Login handler's thrivecart() function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, and who possess the accesskey, to create a new user account with administrator privileges and gain full control over the WordPress site. The required accesskey is intentionally shared with ThriveCart customers as part of the plugin's documented setup process, making it accessible to attackers who have made a purchase. The vulnerability is only exploitable when the ThriveCart Auto Login option is enabled.

Frequently Asked Questions

1

Who is exposed to exploitation?

Sites using WP Fusion (Pro) versions through 3.47.13 are exposed only if the ThriveCart Auto Login option is enabled. An attacker must already be authenticated at Subscriber level or higher and possess the ThriveCart Auto Login access_key.

2

Does an attacker need administrative access before exploiting this issue?

No. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, provided the attacker has the access_key. Successful exploitation allows creation of a new account with administrator privileges.

3

How might an attacker obtain the required access_key?

The access_key is intentionally shared with ThriveCart customers during the documented setup process. An attacker who has made a purchase may therefore be able to access it.

4

What can be done if updating is not immediately possible?

Disable the ThriveCart Auto Login option to remove the condition required for exploitation. Also review whether Subscriber-level or other low-privilege accounts and ThriveCart customers may have access to the access_key.
