CVE-2026-14467: Display of information in the Forocoches comments editor
An information disclosure vulnerability in the Forocoches comments editor that allows an attacker to obtain unauthorised user information by inserting an image containing a malicious external URL into a comment. When a victim views the discussion thread, their browser automatically sends an HTTP/HTTPS request to the server controlled by the attacker, who can then collect information such as the source IP address, the User-Agent header, the date and time of access, and other metadata derived from the request, thereby compromising the user’s privacy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is exposed to this issue?
Users who view a discussion thread containing a comment with an attacker-controlled external image URL may expose request-derived information to the attacker. The disclosed data can include the source IP address, User-Agent, access date and time, and other HTTP/HTTPS request metadata.
What does an attacker need to exploit it?
The attacker needs the ability to insert a comment containing an image that points to an external URL under their control. Exploitation occurs when another user views the affected discussion thread and their browser requests that image.
Does exploitation require interaction by the victim?
Yes. The victim must view the discussion thread containing the malicious image. No additional action beyond loading the thread is described.
