CVE-2026-19652: Divi Membership <= 2.2.0 - Unauthenticated Privilege Escalation via 'form_id' Parameter
The Divi Membership plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions up to, and including, 2.2.0. This is due to the dmemformsubmithandler() function determining the new user's role by iterating all WordPress roles and calling passwordverify() against an attacker-controlled bcrypt hash supplied in the formid POST parameter, with no validation or whitelist of allowed roles. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register a new account with the administrator role by submitting a locally computed bcrypt hash of administrator as formid, and when autologin=on is submitted, be immediately authenticated as that administrator in the same request, resulting in full site takeover. Exploitation requires a WordPress nonce, but that nonce is publicly emitted on any page rendering the Divi Membership registration form and is therefore obtainable by any unauthenticated visitor.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which sites are exposed to unauthenticated takeover?
WordPress sites using Divi Membership version 2.2.0 or earlier are exposed if they render the plugin's registration form. The nonce required for exploitation is publicly available to any unauthenticated visitor on pages that render that form.
What does an attacker need to exploit this issue?
An attacker does not need an existing account or user interaction. They need access to a page rendering the Divi Membership registration form to obtain its nonce, then can submit a locally computed bcrypt hash for the administrator role in the form_id parameter.
What is the impact of successful exploitation?
An attacker can create a new WordPress account with the administrator role. By submitting auto_login=on, they can also be authenticated as that administrator in the same request, enabling full site takeover.
