Remediation

Recommended actions to resolve this vulnerability, in priority order.

  1. Compensating control

Restrict network access to the Identity Manager (OIM Legacy UI) so that T3 and IIOP traffic is only permitted from trusted management/administration hosts. Implement firewall/ACL rules to block T3 and IIOP (and their ports) from untrusted networks, VPNs, and the public Internet.

  2. Compensating control

Place Identity Manager systems in an isolated/trusted network segment (network segmentation) and limit inbound connectivity to only required application servers and administrators. Remove any direct exposure of the OIM Legacy UI to untrusted networks.
