Remediation

Recommended actions to resolve this vulnerability, in priority order.

  1. Compensating control

Restrict network access to the Oracle Enterprise Manager Base Platform HTTP interface: block or deny HTTP access from untrusted networks at the perimeter firewall/ACLs and allow only trusted management IP ranges or VLANs.

  2. Compensating control

Place the Oracle Enterprise Manager Base Platform management interface behind a VPN or bastion host and require access only via the trusted management channel to prevent direct HTTP exposure to the internet.

  3. Compensating control

Deploy inline protections such as a Web Application Firewall (WAF) or intrusion prevention system (IPS) in front of the HTTP interface to detect and block exploitation attempts against Oracle Enterprise Manager Base Platform.

  4. Operational

Prepare and execute incident-response and detection measures: monitor and review access and application logs for signs of exploitation, isolate any suspected compromised Oracle Enterprise Manager instances, and perform remediation and recovery (including credential rotation and system rebuilds) if compromise is detected.
