CVE-2026-47096: AJA HELO Plus < 2.1.7 Stored XSS via System Name Parameter
AJA HELO Plus firmware before 2.1.7 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers with network access to inject malicious JavaScript by setting an unsanitized eParamIDSystemName value through the /config?action=set web configuration API. Attackers can exploit this flaw when device authentication is disabled to persistently execute arbitrary script in the browser of any administrator who opens the web management interface, enabling theft of stored secrets such as web UI credentials, RTMP stream keys, publish URLs, and NFS/SMB share credentials, as well as hijacking of the authenticated session.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which deployments are exposed to unauthenticated exploitation?
AJA HELO Plus devices running firmware earlier than 2.1.7 are exposed when device authentication is disabled and an attacker has network access to the web configuration API.
What must happen for the stored payload to have an impact?
An attacker can store malicious JavaScript through the /config?action=set API using the eParamID_SystemName parameter. The script executes when an administrator later opens the web management interface.
What could an attacker obtain or do after an administrator triggers the payload?
The attacker may steal stored web UI credentials, RTMP stream keys, publish URLs, and NFS/SMB share credentials. They may also hijack the administrator's authenticated web session.
