- Compensating control
Mitigate exposure until a vendor fix is available: restrict public access to Adobe Experience Manager author/publish instances to trusted networks or IPs (firewall/ACL); deploy a Web Application Firewall (WAF) with rules to detect and block DOM/XSS payloads targeting AEM; apply a restrictive Content Security Policy (CSP) to reduce execution of untrusted scripts in users' browsers; and educate users to avoid visiting untrusted or suspicious webpages that could host crafted XSS content.
