CVE-2026-50539: Xibo: Missing Object-Level Authorization on /notification/export/{id} Allows Authenticated Users to Download Arbitrary Attachments
Xibo is an open source digital signage platform with a web content management system and Windows display player software. Prior to 4.4.3, missing object-level authorization on /notification/export/{id} allows an authenticated user to download attachments from any notification, including notifications created by administrators, by iterating over sequential notification IDs. Exploitation requires access to the Notification Centre to view past notifications, a privilege granted to non-administrators as standard. This issue is fixed in version 4.4.3.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue in a typical deployment?
Any authenticated user with access to the Notification Centre can exploit it. That privilege is granted to non-administrators as standard, so administrator rights are not required.
What does an attacker need to do to access another notification's attachment?
The attacker must be able to view past notifications in the Notification Centre and iterate sequential notification IDs in the export endpoint. No user interaction is required.
What information could be exposed?
Attachments associated with any notification may be downloaded, including notifications created by administrators. The reported impact is confidentiality loss; integrity and availability are not affected.
Which versions are affected and what is the remediation?
Versions prior to 4.4.3 are affected. Upgrade Xibo to version 4.4.3 to obtain the fix.
