Frequently Asked Questions
Who is exposed, and what access does an attacker need?
Exposure is limited to supported Oracle E-Business Suite Oracle General Ledger versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15, specifically the Internal Operations component. An attacker must already hold high privileges and have network access to the affected service over HTTP.
Is a default configuration known to be affected?
The provided information does not state whether the affected component is enabled or reachable in a default deployment. Validate whether your Oracle General Ledger Internal Operations component is accessible via HTTP and whether high-privileged accounts could be used from the network.
What is the potential impact of successful exploitation?
A successful attack can provide unauthorized access to critical data or all data accessible to Oracle General Ledger, and unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data. Because the vulnerability has a scope change, impacts may significantly extend to additional products.
