Frequently Asked Questions
Who is realistically exposed to exploitation?
Deployments of Oracle Product Lifecycle Analytics version 3.6.1 that are reachable over HTTP are exposed, because exploitation requires network access. The attacker must already hold low-level privileges; unauthenticated attackers are not described as able to exploit this issue.
Is user interaction or a complex attack path required?
No user interaction is required, and the vulnerability is described as easily exploitable with low attack complexity. An attacker needs network access via HTTP and low privileges in the affected product.
What could a successful attacker do?
A successful attack can expose critical data or all data accessible through Oracle Product Lifecycle Analytics. It can also allow unauthorized updates, inserts, or deletions of some accessible data and cause a partial denial of service.
