CVE-2026-73869: Medium severity Oracle Helidon vulnerability
Vulnerability in the Helidon product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Imperative Web Server). Supported versions that are affected are 3.0.0-3.2.17. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Helidon. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Helidon, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Helidon accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Helidon accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.1 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N).

Frequently Asked Questions
Does exploitation require an authenticated account?
No. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit the issue over HTTP with network access, but successful exploitation requires interaction by a person other than the attacker.
Which deployments are exposed?
The affected supported version identified is Helidon 3.2.18, specifically its Imperative Web Server component. Exposure requires that an attacker can reach the service via HTTP and induce the required user interaction.
Can the impact extend beyond the directly vulnerable Helidon component?
Yes. The vulnerability has scope change, meaning a successful attack in Helidon may significantly affect additional products. It can allow unauthorized reading of a subset of Helidon-accessible data and unauthorized updates, inserts, or deletions to some such data.
