CVE-2026-76074: AutomatorWP <= 5.8.4 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Subscriber+) Sensitive Information Disclosure via automatorwp_campaign_monitor_get_lists AJAX Action
The AutomatorWP – Automator plugin for no-code automations, webhooks & custom integrations in WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 5.8.4. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to retrieve the site's configured Campaign Monitor mailing list catalog, including all list IDs and names, that should be restricted to users with the plugin's manager capability. The required nonce is emitted unconditionally on every WordPress admin page via wplocalizescript, meaning any subscriber visiting /wp-admin/profile.php can obtain it without any elevated access.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue?
Any authenticated WordPress user with Subscriber-level access or higher can exploit it. The attacker does not need the AutomatorWP manager capability that should protect access to the Campaign Monitor list catalog.
What information can be exposed?
An attacker can retrieve the site's configured Campaign Monitor mailing-list catalog, including list names and list IDs. The available data describes information disclosure only, with no integrity or availability impact.
Does exploitation require an administrator to provide a token or perform an action?
No. The required nonce is emitted unconditionally on WordPress admin pages, so a Subscriber-level user can obtain it by visiting /wp-admin/profile.php without elevated access or user interaction.
Which installations are affected?
All AutomatorWP versions up to and including 5.8.4 are affected, where Campaign Monitor lists are configured. Exposure requires that an attacker can authenticate to the WordPress site with at least a Subscriber account.
How can defenders determine whether this data may have been exposed?
Review whether untrusted or low-privileged authenticated users had access to the site while an affected AutomatorWP version and Campaign Monitor integration were in use. The provided information does not identify specific logs or indicators that confirm exploitation.
