CVE-2026-76972: Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence
Due to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence, an attacker could store malicious content that is later rendered by the application. If an authenticated victim accesses a page that displays this stored content, the injected input is processed during web page generation, resulting in the execution of malicious content in the victims browser context. This could allow the attacker to access or modify information within the victims browser scope. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to access session information, modify rendered page content and disrupt the victim's use of the application, resulting in a low impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability.

Frequently Asked Questions
What access does an attacker need to exploit this issue?
The attacker needs low-privileged authenticated access to store malicious content in the application. Exploitation also requires an authenticated victim to visit a page that renders that stored content.
Who is exposed to the malicious content?
Authenticated users who access pages displaying attacker-controlled stored content are exposed. The malicious input executes in the victim's browser context, where it may access session information or alter rendered page content.
Can this be exploited without user interaction?
No. A victim must access a page that displays the stored malicious content for the injected input to execute in that victim's browser.
What are the potential effects on an affected user's session?
An attacker may access session information, modify information within the victim's browser scope, alter rendered page content, and disrupt the victim's use of the application. The stated impacts to confidentiality, integrity, and availability are low.
