CVE-2026-78562: Verdure Core <= 1.2 - Unauthenticated Local File Inclusion
The Verdure Core plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 1.2. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where images and other “safe” file types can be uploaded and included.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue?
Unauthenticated remote attackers can exploit it; no WordPress account or prior authentication is required. Exploitation has high attack complexity, so successful use depends on meeting conditions not specified in the available data.
What is the potential impact if exploitation succeeds?
An attacker may include and execute arbitrary files already present on the server, including PHP code contained in uploaded images or other seemingly safe file types. This may allow access-control bypass, sensitive-data exposure, and code execution.
Which installations are affected?
Verdure Core plugin versions through 1.2, including 1.2, are affected. The provided information does not identify a fixed version or any configuration-based exception.
