CVE-2026-90438: Ninja Forms <= 3.15.4 - Unauthenticated Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Paragraph Text (RTE) Field Submission

Published Oct 2, 2026
·
Updated

The Ninja Forms – The Contact Form Builder That Grows With You plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Paragraph Text (RTE) Field Submission in all versions up to, and including, 3.15.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is only exploitable when the targeted Paragraph Text field has the Rich Text Editor (RTE) option enabled.

Frequently Asked Questions

1

What configuration is required for exploitation?

Exploitation requires a Paragraph Text field with the Rich Text Editor (RTE) option enabled. The issue is not described as exploitable for Paragraph Text fields without RTE enabled.

2

Does an attacker need an account or user interaction to submit a malicious payload?

No. An unauthenticated attacker can submit arbitrary web scripts through an affected field; the payload executes later when a user accesses the injected page.

3

Which installations should be treated as affected?

Ninja Forms versions up to and including 3.15.4 are affected, but practical exposure depends on whether a Paragraph Text field has RTE enabled.
