CVE-2026-94377: Verified Reviews (Avis Vérifiés) <= 2.4.6 - Unauthenticated Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'moderation' Parameter (discussion.commentaire)
The Verified Reviews (Avis Vérifiés) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'moderation' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The authentication bypass is possible because ntavcheckdata() uses loose != comparisons for signature verification, allowing a JSON body with boolean true values for idWebsite and sign to pass all checks on any configured installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which installations are affected?
Any WordPress installation with the Verified Reviews (Avis Vérifiés) plugin configured and running version 2.4.6 or earlier is affected.
Does exploitation require an account or user interaction?
No attacker account or prior authentication is required. An attacker can submit a crafted JSON body using boolean true values for idWebsite and sign to bypass the plugin's signature checks.
What happens after successful exploitation?
An attacker can store arbitrary script through the moderation parameter. The script executes in the browser of a user who later visits the page containing the injected content.
How can I determine whether an instance may have been targeted?
Review requests and stored review or comment content for unexpected values in the moderation parameter or discussion.commentaire field. In particular, investigate JSON requests where idWebsite and sign are boolean true values.
