CVE-2026-94589: Extensions For CF7 (Contact form 7 Database, Conditional Fields and Redirection) <= 3.4.5 - Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Upload via Signature Field File Upload
The Extensions For CF7 (Contact form 7 Database, Conditional Fields and Redirection) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 3.4.5 via the extcf7submit function. This is due to missing file extension, MIME type, and size validation in the signature field's validationfilter(), combined with the absence of PHP-execution guards in the upload directory and a sanitizefilename() bypass that converts shell.php- into shell.php. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which deployments are exposed?
WordPress sites using Extensions For CF7 versions through 3.4.5 are affected when the plugin's signature field upload functionality is reachable. The issue is exploitable without authentication.
What does an attacker need to exploit this issue?
An attacker needs network access to submit a form that processes the vulnerable signature-field upload. No account, privileges, or user interaction are required.
What is the likely impact of successful exploitation?
An attacker may upload an executable file and achieve remote code execution. This can expose the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected WordPress site and server.
What conditions make uploaded files executable?
The vulnerability depends on the upload directory lacking PHP-execution guards. The plugin also fails to validate file extension, MIME type, and size, and its filename sanitization can be bypassed to produce a .php filename.
