CVE-2026-96563: Motors <= 1.4.123 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'stm_f_s' Parameter
The Motors – Car Dealership & Classified Listings Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'stmfs' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.123 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The nonce required by the stmajaxaddacar AJAX handler is emitted in wpfooter on every page, making it accessible to any authenticated user and removing any practical barrier to exploitation at the Subscriber level.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a basic authenticated account exploit this issue?
Yes. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and higher-privileged authenticated users can also exploit it. No user interaction is required from the attacker.
Does the AJAX nonce provide meaningful protection against subscriber-level abuse?
No. The nonce for the affected AJAX handler is emitted in the footer of every page, so any authenticated user can access it.
When does the injected script execute?
The script is stored in an injected page and executes when a user accesses that page. The impact includes potential disclosure or modification of content available in the victim's browser context.
