CVE-2026-96647: Listdom: AI-powered Business Directory with Classifieds Ads Listings <= 6.1.1 - Authenticated (Contributor+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'lsd[remark]' Parameter
The Listdom: AI-powered Business Directory with Classifieds Ads Listings plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'lsd[remark]' Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 6.1.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is exploitable by Subscriber-level users because the listing-creation branch of the AJAX handler omits a capability check, and the required nonce is publicly emitted on any page containing the [listdom-dashboard] shortcode.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue in practice?
Although the issue is described as requiring Contributor-level access or higher, Subscriber-level users can exploit it through the listing-creation AJAX path. They need access to a page that contains the [listdom-dashboard] shortcode, where the required nonce is publicly emitted.
What must an attacker do for the injected script to run?
The attacker must submit a malicious value through the lsd[remark] parameter when creating a listing. The stored script executes when another user accesses the page containing the injected content.
Are sites using the dashboard shortcode exposed to lower-privileged users?
Yes. On pages containing [listdom-dashboard], the publicly available nonce and missing capability check in the listing-creation AJAX branch allow Subscriber-level users to reach the vulnerable functionality.
