CVE-2026-96648: Data Tables Generator by Supsystic <= 1.15.1 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Table Cell 'data' Value via updateRows Action
The Data Tables Generator by Supsystic plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Table Cell 'data' Value via updateRows Action in all versions up to, and including, 1.15.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is only exploitable by Subscriber-level users when an administrator has added their role to the plugin's 'accessroles' setting, which is a documented and explicitly supported plugin feature that grants lower-privileged users access to the dtgsnonce required to reach the vulnerable updateRows action handler.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are standard Subscriber accounts able to exploit this by default?
Not necessarily. Subscriber-level exploitation requires an administrator to have added the Subscriber role to the plugin's access_roles setting, which gives those users access to the dtgs_nonce needed to invoke the affected updateRows handler.
What access does an attacker need?
The attacker must be authenticated and have Subscriber-level access or higher. They must also be able to reach the updateRows action; for Subscribers, that depends on the configured access_roles setting.
What happens after malicious content is injected?
Arbitrary web scripts can be stored in a table cell's data value and execute when a user accesses a page containing the injected table. The stated impact includes disclosure or modification of information in the affected user's browser context.
