CVE-2026-96667: Real Estate Manager <= 7.3 - Unauthenticated Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'first_name' Parameter
The Real Estate Manager – Property Listing and Agent Management plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'firstname' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 7.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The reCAPTCHA check is trivially bypassed by omitting the g-recaptcha-response parameter entirely, since validation only runs when that parameter is present.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can exploit this issue?
An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit it. No account, privileges, or user interaction from the attacker is required; exploitation is low complexity over the network.
Does reCAPTCHA prevent exploitation?
No. The reCAPTCHA validation can be bypassed by omitting the g-recaptcha-response parameter, because validation occurs only when that parameter is supplied.
Which installations are affected?
Real Estate Manager versions up to and including 7.3 are affected. The issue is in handling of the first_name parameter.
What happens after a successful attack?
The attacker can store arbitrary script content in an affected page. That script executes in the browsers of users who later access the injected page, potentially exposing or altering information available in their WordPress session.
