MAL-2026-18380: Malicious code in bcxhdh1kjlopsde (npm)

Source: amazon-inspector (a98b6cf73bddc57accbb5d63bf8d9cb945030577de427c32ec3eff5676badff6) Package bcxhdh1kjlopsde@1.0.0 publishes a single file, index.html, declared as the package main. The HTML impersonates a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge, fetches an AES-CTR-encrypted value from api.keyval.org using a hardcoded lookup key (DC7tr9PjVqMIf1EYczH1puouOG21C0khV3VzWnxdtI), decrypts it in the browser to resolve a destination host, calls /api/strategies/check?cid=... on that host, and window.location.replaces the visitor to the returned URL. The package name is random and there is no JavaScript entry point, no lifecycle script, and no code that executes on npm install or require() — HTML is not a JS module, so a developer installing or importing this package is not harmed by its contents. The artifact appears to be a cloaked-redirect / traffic-distribution phishing page using api.keyval.org as an encrypted dead-drop for the destination host, misused as a hosting channel on the npm registry rather than a functioning Node package.
