UBUNTU-CVE-2026-68226: Null Pointer Dereference
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: cx23885: add ioremap return check and cleanup Add a check for the return value of pciioremapbar() in cx23885devsetup(). If ioremap for BAR0 fails, release the already allocated PCI memory region, decrement the device count, and return -ENODEV. This prevents a potential null pointer dereference and ensures proper cleanup on memory mapping failure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Ubuntu kernel package families are tracked for this issue?
The issue is tracked for ubuntu/linux, ubuntu/linux-fips, ubuntu/linux-aws, ubuntu/linux-azure, ubuntu/linux-aws-fips, ubuntu/linux-azure-fips, ubuntu/linux-gcp, and ubuntu/linux-gcp-fips.
What condition is needed to trigger the vulnerable path?
The cx23885 device setup path must attempt to map PCI BAR0 and that ioremap operation must fail. Without the added check, the failed mapping can lead to a null pointer dereference during device initialization.
