UBUNTU-CVE-2026-74292: High severity ubuntu/linux-hwe-edge vulnerability
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: tegra: tegra210ahub: Validate written enum value tegraahubputvalueenum() reads e->values[item[0]] before checking whether item[0] is within the enum item range. The existing check therefore happens too late to prevent an out-of-range read of the values array. Move the check before the array access.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which systems are exposed to this issue?
Ubuntu systems using one of the listed Linux kernel packages are in scope, but exploitation specifically involves the Tegra210 AHUB ASoC audio driver. Systems without that driver or relevant Tegra audio hardware are less likely to expose the affected code path.
What access does an attacker need?
The supplied severity vector indicates local access and low privileges are required, with no user interaction required. The issue can expose kernel memory through an out-of-range read and may affect confidentiality and availability.
What is the underlying failure condition?
The driver reads an enum value from its values array before verifying that the supplied enum index is within range. A crafted out-of-range enum value can therefore trigger an out-of-bounds array read.
