UBUNTU-CVE-2026-74394: Integer Overflow
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/srpt: fix integer overflow in immediate data length check immbuf->len is a user-controlled uint32t received from the network. Adding it to immdataoffset without overflow checking allows a malicious initiator to send len=0xFFFFFFFF, causing reqsize to wrap around to a small value, bypassing the bounds check, and subsequently passing a ~4GB length to sginitone(). Use checkaddoverflow() to detect wrapping before the comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which systems are exposed to this issue?
Systems running the listed Ubuntu Linux kernel packages are in scope. Exploitation requires exposure of the kernel's RDMA SRP target functionality to a malicious network initiator.
What does an attacker need to send to trigger the flaw?
An attacker can supply a user-controlled 32-bit immediate-data length over the network. A length of 0xFFFFFFFF can overflow when added to the immediate-data offset, bypassing the intended bounds check and causing a roughly 4 GB length to be passed to sg_init_one().
How can this be mitigated if an update cannot be applied immediately?
The provided information identifies the attack input as coming from a network initiator using RDMA SRP target functionality. Limiting untrusted initiators' network access to that service reduces exposure, but no specific configuration workaround is provided.
